Congratulations to Senior Partner Marc Weingarten who was elected to two (2) leadership positions at the American Association for Justice (AAJ) Annual Convention in Boston in July.
Mr. Weingarten was elected Co-Chair of the Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Litigation Group, as well as Vice-Chair of the International Practice Section.
AAJ Litigation Groups are critical tools for battling the overwhelming resources of corporate counsel. Members of the Litigation Group have access to the accumulated information and experience of skilled colleagues.
In addition to its Litigation Groups, the AAJ also has 18 Sections. The Sections provide networking opportunities for leading practitioners in specialized areas of the law to exchange ideas about strategies, trial techniques and tools necessary to obtain justice for injured victims.
In addition to these newly obtained leadership positions, Mr. Weingarten is also on the AAJ Board of Governors, which is the governing body of the organization.
Established in 1946, the AAJ is the world’s largest trial bar and promotes justice and fairness for injured persons, safeguards victims’ rights—particularly the right to trial by jury—and strengthens the civil justice system through education and disclosure of information critical to public health and safety. With members worldwide, and a network of U.S. and Canadian affiliates involved in diverse areas of trial advocacy, AAJ provides lawyers with the information and professional assistance needed to serve clients successfully and protect the democratic values inherent in the civil justice system.
