Please be advised that Locks Law firm is currently accepting referrals of Zimmer Durom Cup Hip replacement cases. The Durom Cup is a hip replacement product, first marketed by Zimmer in the United States in 2006. The Durom Cup has an unreasonably high incidence of failing to bond with growth of the securing host bone, leading to loosening and movement of the product and requiring a second surgery to remove and replace the Durom Cup product. There are also incidences of metallosis, or metal poisoning, resulting from the Zimmer Durom Cup product and also requiring removal and replacement of the Durom Cup product. Zimmer Durom Cup claims are currently coordinated in MDL No. 2158 in the District of New Jersey.
We are currently reviewing cases involving both loosening and metallosis. If you have been contacted by any person who may have been injured by these products please contact us. For more information please contact Marc Weingarten at 215-893-3404 or Michael Galpern at 856-663-8200.
