Janet Lewis has been with Locks Law Firm since 2012. In her role as Director of Sports & Athlete Relations she manages relationships with former NFL players, which now number over 1,500 and serves as the sports “expert.” Ms. Lewis manages the national litigation accounts, develops and executes communications plans and serves as a liaison with other law firms regarding the issues facing our clients. Recently, her work has expanded to include serving as Human Resources director, managing multiple employee benefits programs, developing programs for employee relations and creating consistent procedures for employee hiring, retention and dismissal. Ms. Lewis is the day to day contact for all public relations activities and is responsible for executing marketing programs related to the website, blogging and other areas of the firm.
Prior to joining Locks Law Firm, Janet was an award-winning marketing professional with demonstrated success in creating, managing, and executing integrated partnerships, promotions, special events, public relations initiatives, and advertising campaigns that expand market penetration and build brand awareness, domestically and globally. She served as Sr. Director of Credit Card & Partnership Marketing for Wyndham Worldwide where she developed and managed the launch strategy for a new co-branded credit card. Prior to that, Ms. Lewis was the Director of Olympic Marketing for IMG where she worked with her client, Johnson & Johnson, to help their wide variety of brands across the Americas region understand, participate in and leverage the global sponsorship rights of the Olympic Games. In a truly global position, it was her responsibility to help perhaps the most decentralized company in the world, come together and create programs around the most globally centralized sports sponsorships. Other prior work experience includes her role as Senior Manager of Marketing Partnerships for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc and Partnership Manager with iWon.com/Excite Network. She earned ACC Academic Honor Roll honors while competing for both the Duke Track & Field and Duke Diving teams.
Ms. Lewis continues to pursue her passion for running, winning multiple national championships as a master’s track athlete and running on the World Championship winning 4x400m relay in 2011. When she isn’t running on the track or road, she is running after her son.
