Channavel H. Kong is a Litigation Paralegal working directly under Partner Andrew J. DuPont at Locks Law Firm. Since joining the firm in February 2023, Channavel has played a role in supporting benzene, asbestos, and personal injury cases. His responsibilities include preparing legal memos, drafting and filing legal documents, organizing case files, and maintaining client outreach. With three years of experience in environmental law, he brings extensive knowledge of environmental litigation, civil procedure, and discovery processes.
Before joining Locks Law Firm, Channavel earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and criminal justice from Temple University. After graduation, he was employed as a junior paralegal for a mid-size firm in Voorhees, NJ. Initially hired temporarily, he was quickly promoted to a full-time role and later transitioned with his team to a Philadelphia-based firm. There, he contributed to a significant project involving the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), where his team designed remedial cleanup and mediation strategies for the toxic contamination of the Passaic River in Newark, NJ.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Channavel has a deep appreciation for exploring his city, discovering new places, and enjoying diverse cuisines with friends and family. Despite his familiarity with Philly, he’s eager to uncover even more hidden gems in the area. Channavel stays active by running or lifting in his home gym. In his downtime, he loves diving into the latest movies, TV shows, and video games. Looking ahead, he dreams of broadening his horizons through travel, venturing beyond Philadelphia and New Jersey to experience the world.
Locks Law Firm only provides legal advice after having entered into an attorney client relationship, which our website specifically does not create. Conversations that originate from website messaging, chat or other two way web based engagement do not create an attorney client relationship. It is imperative that any action taken be done on the advice of counsel. Because every case is different, the description of awards and cases previously handled do not guarantee a similar outcome in current or future cases. The firm practices law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey & New York as Locks Law Firm. Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers in America and other organizations that rate attorneys are not designations that have been approved by the State Supreme Courts or the American Bar Association.
