Christina came to the Locks Law Firm after suffered from underwent an unnecessary surgical procedure on one of her feet.
CHRISTINA: I had foot surgery back in 1998. I was a senior in high school. I had gone to the doctor. I had a bone spur problem on both of my feet. He ended up doing surgery, it was hammertoe surgery, but hammertoe surgery done wrong and on both my feet. I knew something was wrong, but at that time we didn’t know exactly what was wrong, so a lawyer down in Atlantic City gave me Michael Galpern’s name with the Locks Firm.
I contacted Michael Galpern and then we set up an appointment. Michael Galpern handled my case very well. He treated me actually like I was a family member. He was very passionate about my case. He came to find out, I went to the doctor to get my records and the doctor would not give them to me. So what had happened is, Michael had stepped in and he did get all my medical records. There were some discrepancies on the medical records that myself I had never seen.
After Michael Galpern did get the records from the doctor, he had set up a deposition which had--and which I attended. It had gone on for two days. Michael Galpern did fight relentlessly for me. Michael did get the doctor to come out and say that he did do a breach of surgery. He did it wrong and the way he did it, the surgery, he did it wrong also. It took two days, but within the first day, the doctor was saying that he did make a mistake.
The out-of-Court settlement that Mr. Galpern did get for me has helped me with other surgeries that I’ve have had, medical expenses, medication and it will help me to be comfortable for the rest of my life. I am very pleased with how Mr. Galpern did help fight for me. I did feel like I was a part of the family. I have never seen somebody fight so hard for me.
At first I was a complete stranger, but we’ve actually remained friends to this day.
