The plaintiffs in the Kiddie Kollege class action won victory today thanks to Jim Pettit and Pamela Lee of the Locks Law Firm, and counsel from several other firms. Jim Pettit was the Court-Appointed Lead Counsel. The class sought medical monitoring and were not seeking personal injury damages. (more…)

Weingarten was recently awarded the most prestigious international award given by the American Association of Justice (AAJ), the national organization of plaintiff trial lawyers. At the Annual Convention of AAJ in San Francisco in July, Marc received the 2009 Jackass Penguin Award from the International Relations Committee and the International Practice Section of AAJ. Partner, Janet Walsh was recently honored by being included in the Irish Voice’s list of the “75 Most Influential Irish American Women.” This honor was bestowed for her contributions to Irish American society and particularly because of her involvement with the Irish American Bar Association of New York and its role in the Irish American community. Police Chiefs Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania has presented Locks Law Firm attorney Joe McGill with the “Man of the Year” award. The “Man of the Year” award was given for Mr. McGill’s ongoing service to the Police Departments throughout the five county region.
In addition, the Vidocq Society, a nonprofit composed of forensic and legal experts who provide pro bono assistance to law enforcement in “cold case” homicides, will present its Medal of Honor to Joe McGill for his work in prosecuting Mumia Abu Jamal for the murder of police officer Daniel Faulkner as a former Philadelphia ADA.
