In just the most recent of a dizzying series of events, Actavis Group has now announced that its CEO, Robert Wessman, is stepping down. Digitek® MANUFACTURER RECALLS OTHER PRODUCTS

Posted under: Pharmaceuticals — Jim Pettit @ 1:23 pm

It was announced on Friday, August 1, 2008, that Actavis Totowa, LLC, a generic drug manufacturer, is voluntarily recalling to the retail level all drug products manufactured at its Little Falls, New Jersey facility. The decision follows an FDA inspection earlier in 2008. Actavis Totowa, LLC has operations which do not meet the FDA’s (or even its own) “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP). All of the recalled drugs are prescription medications.

Locks Law Firm, LLC has sued Actavis Totowa, LLC, and other companies for marketing its double-dose Digitek® product. Locks Law Firm, LLC has filed personal injury lawsuits in state court in Atlantic County, New Jersey, and has also filed a Class Action there. The Digitek® cases there have been assigned to Judge Carol Higbee, who has successfully managed the Vioxx litigation and other mass torts in New Jersey.
